While most of our clients are based in Tokyo and other prefectures, we deliberately established our headquarters in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture — the hometown of our founder.
Although we are a small company, we are committed to growing together with the community we love. Through local hiring, regional tax contributions, and leveraging our planning capabilities, we aim to contribute to the vitality of the local area.
We will continue strengthening our ties with the community, deepening our bonds with society at large, and striving for even greater contributions.

The most frequently asked question about our company is about our name. "HOMUTA" derives from the founder's surname "Honda."
According to historical documents from the Meiji and Taisho eras, the kanji characters for "Honda" were traditionally read as "Homuta" when used as a personal name.
The earliest reference to "Homuta" appears in Japan's oldest chronicles — the Nihon Shoki and Kojiki — where Emperor Ōjin is referred to as "Homuta no Sumeramikoto." This ancient reading connects our company name to Japan's deep cultural heritage.
When naming our company, we chose this historic reading to honor our Japanese roots and to express our ambition to grow into a global enterprise, much like the well-known company that shares the founder's surname.
*In August 2016, the company name was changed from HOMUTA Inc. to HOMUTA HLDGS Inc.
